Winamp is the best, it works. There is not one piece of software away there that does not get a bug in it, or will not forge on someones computer, it is the way it is. Winamp is the best, and I do not find it bloated at all. If you get adequate memory and difficult drive space, you will get no problem. Everyone asks for more more more and when they get it because they requested this or that plugin, then they complain how bloated it is. You want one of the best, (notice I enunciated one of the best, there are others only equally good) then hand Winamp a honest try. Likewise many placed crap reviews on here because they get no clue what they are talking about, or they are strictly devoted to another software and want to gibe someone else.
